Publix - Merchant's Village, Charleston, SC

Although Publix has no North Carolina presence, they cover the majority of South Carolina markets with their stores. The Lakeland, Florida-based company has this store in Charleston. (Pic courtesy Regency Centers online)

That's one sweet supermarket. They would be great in Charlotte.

I hope Publix comes to North Carolina. The grocery stores here just dont come close to the quality and pricing. If anyone hears anything about this please let me know..

Publix sold their land in the Charlotte area a few years ago and Harris Teeter snatched it up. With that "Doh" of a sale, Publix would have to buyout Harris Teeter to get into Charlotte. I've been hoping they would buy/merge with HT for over 15 years.

Publix has recently entered NC. Saw one new Publix in Concord, on George W. Liles at Weddington.
